Questions we hear often
Usually one to three days. Longer if the site is large or has been infected for months with no backups.
Yes, that is most of these cases. The platform does not matter.
Not if the cause is closed. That is why we do not stop at cleaning.

In detail
Recovering a hacked website
A compromised site is more than a technical problem. Browsers start showing warnings, search engines drop pages from the index, and hosting providers may suspend the account for sending spam. Every day of downtime costs enquiries, and sometimes reputation.
Signs your site is infected
- The browser shows a red warning screen
- Unfamiliar pages or redirects appear in search results
- The site suddenly became slow with no obvious cause
- Your host reported suspicious activity or suspended the account
- Admin users appear that you did not create
What we do
We start with a diagnostic: scanning files, the database and server logs to establish the scale and the entry point. It is free and takes up to one business day. We then strip the malicious code by hand rather than relying on an automated scanner alone, because modern infections hide inside legitimate files.
After cleanup we restore the site, submit review requests to clear browser and search warnings, close the vulnerability that allowed it, and set up backups with monitoring.
The most common causes are an outdated core or plugin with a known vulnerability, a weak administrator password, and access through a neighbouring site on shared hosting. Without fixing the cause, cleaning only buys time.
