More detail

An online store makes sense when the business idea is built around selling specific products. Presentation and functionality carry the weight here, because the goal is simple: attract customers and grow sales volume.

If the company already trades offline and needs a presence online, a corporate project fits better: it sets out what you do, shows the team and confirms that the business is serious.

A business card site is most often used for a personal brand and for a general introduction to your services.

In detail

Website development: formats, timelines, cost

Building a website starts not with design but with deciding which format you actually need. Getting that wrong is the most expensive mistake: a store commissioned where a business card site would have done eats budget and months, while a card site instead of a store cannot sell at all.

We split the work into three formats, each covering its own set of problems. Below is how to choose between them and what drives the final figure in the quote.

What drives the price

  • The number of pages and template types — distinct layouts, not raw volume
  • Functionality: a calculator, customer area, booking or payments double the build
  • Integrations with external systems: CRM, stock control, delivery services
  • Language versions, each needing its own structure rather than translated buttons
  • Content readiness: if there is no copy or photography, that is a separate stage

Why we avoid site builders

A builder is cheaper at the start but brings a monthly fee, limits on technical optimisation, and no way to take the project with you. We build on a system where the code and database belong to you, and moving to another host takes an evening.

For the same reason we avoid heavy page builders inside the CMS. They add dozens of unnecessary requests and make the site slow, and speed affects both conversion and rankings directly.
